DescriptionCircular medal of Albert Victor Edward of Wales (1864-1892), commemorating his recovery from typhoid fevor.

Obverse: Profile bust of Albert looking to proper right; inscribed at edge "ALBERT EDWARD PRINCE OF WALES" and under bust "J.B.WYON SC".

Reverse: Crown over three plume feathers and above branches and an inscribed banderola; inscribed at edge "·NATIONAL·THANKSGIVING·FOR·RECOVERY·OF·THE·PRINCE·OF·WALES·" and "FEB:1872", on banderola "ICH DIEU", below "J.S. & A.B.WYON".
