DescriptionCircular token, 5 sols, issued during the First Republic. Beaded rim on both faces. Inscribed on edge "DU GARD & DEPARTEMENS DE PAR. S. RHONE ET LOIRE".

Obverse: Within oval frame, an army at proper left before a seated Athena, holding an inscribed tablet; inscribed at edge "VIVRE LIBRES OU MOURIR.", above "PACTE FEDERATIF.", on tablet and flags (too hard to read), and on plinth "DVPRE F.".

Reverse: Inscribed at edge "1792 MONNERON FRERES NEGOCIANS A PARIS" and at center "MEDAILLE/DE CONFIANCE/DE CINQ-SOLS/REMBOURSABLE/EN ASSIGNATS/DE 50 ET/AU DESSUS./---/L'AN IV.DE LA/LIBERTÉ".
