DescriptionFolio from a copy of al-Zamakhshari’s al-Kashshaf ‘an haqa’iq al-tanzil ("Discoverer of Revealed Truths"). Verso: illuminated frontispiece with an eight-pointed polygon and the title written in white ornamental kufic script, outlined in black and set in a rounded cartouche with a blue background and gold floral designs. Recto: 34 lines of Arabic calligraphy in black naskh script with commentary in the margins.
