This plate was never published by Goya and the reverse was used to make plate 1 of the published series. It was first published with a French title in Paris by Loizelet in 1876 with the rest of the series with the title "La Taureaumachie/ Receuil de quarante estampes inventées et gravées à l'eau-forte/ Par Don Francisco Goya y Lucientes/ Paris/ Loizelet, Rue des Beaux-Arts, 12" or "La Tauromachie/ Receuil de Quarante Estampes/ Representant/ Différentes manieres et feintes de l'art de combattre les Taureaux..."
