Description(Boston: James R. Osgood and Company, 1875) 19.2 cm; xiv, [15]-202 pp.; publisher's original black-, blind-, and gilt-stamped rust brown cloth.
Many of the illustrations appeared in previous publications (a number in "Our Young Folks," and in many cases the signatures have disappeared or been obscured. Only two illustrators have been identified, and a few engravers. The Homer block on p. 100 had previously been used in the June 1867 issue of "Our Young Folks."
