Description(Amsterdam: Claes Jansz. Visscher, Jr., 1612) Oblong quarto; 24 leaves; blue paper boards, hand-lettered white paper label.

Views of landscapes in the Brabant area around Brussels and Antwerp. First edition. These landscape prints are primarily copied from a series of 44 etchings by the Doetechum brothers after drawings by the Master of the Small Landscapes, issued in 1559 and 1561 (New Hollstein, van Doetechum, I, pp. 94-95). The drawings were formerly attributed to Pieter Bruegel the Elder, based primarily on Visscher's own ascription on the title page to this series. However, the specific attribution of the "Small Landscape" drawings have been given to various artists, most recently Joos van Liere and Cornelis Cort.

The leaves in this set were previously in a larger album, as they carry old pen numberings in the upper right corners from 34 to 57.
