DescriptionStatuette of a striding weather god with a knobbed helmet. Once brandishing a weapon or thunderbolt, he is one of the Syrian or Canaanite storm gods variously known as Baal, Reshef, Haddad or Teshub. Although crudely modeled, the figurine was given a sumptuous appearance with overlays of precious metals.
