DescriptionNeo-Assyrian, Early modeled Style. Two bird-headed beings ("apkallu's"/antediluvian sages) holding cone (mulillu/purifier) and bucket (banduddu) flank and fertilize "sacred tree" surmounted by winged sun-disk (Assur disk). Inscription to left of tree, spade symbol of Marduk (the marru) to right of tree, bird and plant in field. Star above bird-headed being at right, crescent above the one at left.
