Description(Boston: Prang & Mayer [1856-1860]) 44.8 cm; 45 ff. (some blank); original[?] half blue cloth, thick buff cardboard (cream-colored phase box).

Labels include examples for Burnett’s, Leavitt’s, Preston & Merrill’s extracts; textiles by Bates, Wamsutta, Amoskeag mills; Stanwood’s, Hunnewell’s spices; Ayer’s Pills; Francis Kidder’s inks, etc. Many works are signed "Prang & Mayer," though at the end of the album are items signed "L. Prang & Co." Prang worked in partnership with Mayer precisely in the years 1856 to 1860, then bought Mayer out.

Several plates toward the end of the album (a group of illustrations of table silver) are signed J. F. Cole (presumably Joseph Foxcroft); one is signed "J. F. A. Cole (a portrait); and one is signed by Bogle.
