Description(Paris: 1563) Oblong folio; 26 leaves; modern gilt-stamped red morocco (R. Petit).

Scenes from the story of Jason and Medea, within elaborate decorative borders. First edition with French text; there was a previous edition of the same year without text (see Mortimer 519). This copy lacks the title page and preliminary letterpress leaves; each plate is mounted separately on pages of the album.
