[Third section of miscellaneous compositions, perhaps related to "Livre d'études dessiné--see F in second section] 28 pls.
Dating the contents of this copy is difficult, but it is assumed to include an early issue of the ornamental designs; they carry the imprints of both the "author" (the elder Cuvilliés) and Poilly, in Paris at the "image St. Benoit," probably Antoine de Poilly (after 1691-after 1753). The architectural plans and other plates published by the younger Cuvilliés carry the joint imprint of the "author" and Huquier in Paris, on the rue des Mathurins, perhaps Gabriel (1695-1772) or more probably his son Jacques-Gabriel (1730-1804). Therefore the broad range of 1745 to 1771 is adopted.
