DescriptionFragment of a stele that apparently comemmorated one of Naram-Sin's victories in Anatolia. With two other fragments now in the Baghdad Museum, it depicts a procession of fettered, nude prisoners led by helmeted Akkadian troupes. Originally composed of several registers. The warrior in this fragment wears a ribbed or quilted helmet, a fringed sash and a long skirt. He holds a battle ax and rests his right arm on the shoulder of the last man in a line of bound captives.
