DescriptionThe bowl is decorated with mythological scenes related to young boys saved from drowning by dolphins. Perhaps, it is poet Arion, who was saved from drowning by a dolphin or maybe Palaimon (the infant son of Athamas, King of Corinth, and Ino) who was drowned and resurrected as a dolphin-riding god.
