DescriptionIn form of deer's head. Glazed black. The head of the deer has short, stubby horns and a narrow muzzle. Hoffmann calls it an antelope's head; theis may be correct, for the ears are quite short. This shape may be unique.

The entire vase is glazed black. The head of the deer has short, stubby horns and a narrow muzzle, Hoffmann calls it an antelope's head; this may be correct, for the ears are quite short, but compare cat. no. 64. The shape may be unique; compare the deer's-head rhyton Louvre CA 457
