DescriptionThe interior of the cup is decorated with a tondo composition in the red figure technique. The scene featurs a young lady wearing a Doric dress (peplos), gesturing towards a large water vessel (hydria) which sits on the ground.

Condition: Handles are restored.
ProvenanceSaid to have been found in a tomb near Cape Zoster, Greece [see note]. By 1900, Edward Perry Warren (b. 1860 - d. 1928), London; 1900, sold by Warren to the MFA. (Accession date: February 1, 1900)
NOTE: according to Warren’s records, it was found with MFA 00.357.
