DescriptionHead and arms of a youth, probably Eros, holding a wreath. In front of him is the end of a couch and a piece of drapery of the clothing of the person seated there. This fragment would have appeared under the handle of the cup. Six other fragments of this cup are known in museums in London, Vatican City, Florence, and New York. The overall subject depicted may be the birth of Athena.
