DescriptionRed Figure oinochoe with large cylindrical mouth and high handle.
Two nude young athletes. The one to right stands in front view, looking to left and holding out strigil to the other who stands in profile to right with his hands clasped. Between them a dog. In field, a pouch. Above the youths' heads the Greek inscription, "Alkimachos is handsome" (ALKIMACHOS IS HANDSOME). A tongue pattern above the figures. Below them, a maeander encircling the vase.
