ProvenanceBy date unknown: with Edward Perry Warren (according to Warren's records: the Dexileos fragments [98.934-98.936] were bought from Rhousopoulos who said that at the time of the find he was not able to persuade the museum to take all the shards. Half went to the museum, where they were mixed up with other pieces; half to himself) (see also MFA 01.8254 and 01.8255 which according to a letter from John Marshall were purchased from Rhousopoulos with other fragments that had been stored in a cabinet with a note saying they were from the tomb of Dexileos in the Dipylon, Athens); 1898: purchased by MFA from Edward Perry Warren for $ 69,618.13 (this figure is the total price for MFA 98.641-98.940)
