DescriptionZeus pursuing female figure with diadem. (Aegina?) Badly weathered on back. A crack on lower part of front.

The presence of loose ceramic fragments inside the vessel suggest that it originally had an internal compartment at the top, which broke into pieces and fell to the bottom.
ProvenanceBy 1901: with E. P. Warren (according to Warren's records: Bought at Castel Vetrano. The vases there sold are nearly all from Selinus.); purchased by MFA from E. P. Warren; probably from Selinus. December 1901
