Exterior Side A: Rape of Cassandra by Ajax may be interpreted as a comic scene. A calm Cassandra hides behind an altar from Ajax's attack. Athena rushes to her aid from the right, bearing a shield while an old woman (Hecabe?) pulls at Ajax's bottom from the left. Other figures involved in the rape frame this central scene
Exterior Side B: Iris attacked by satyrs while stealing a meat offering from an altar. She faces on stayr while defending herself from another by hitting him with the meat. The combination of the irreverent actions in a sacred space and the humorous qualities of the scene creates a burlesque atmosphere which marks the image as different from more traditional subject matters. Several fragments are missing.
