DescriptionConsiderably repainted. Scene of Amazonomachy with warrior fighting an Amazon over fallen body of another Amazon (?).
Handle ends in thumb rest and upper half of woman whose arms rest on rim of prochoos mouth. Ogee foot. Restored vase and fragments b-m.
N.B. Vase was soaked by Mr. Young and found to be composed of three separate vases. Res. 41.58a. Now restored as to correct shape Cf.(1948) Richter and Milne, Shapes, fig. 127.
Other fragments now numbered Res.41.58 b-m.
