DescriptionIdentical Greek inscriptions in the handle zone on each side: "Nikosthenes made [it]" (NIKOSTHENES EPOIESEN).
Tondo bordered by tongue pattern between concentric black circles, the tongues, alternately red and black. Dismounting hoplite carrying two spears, wearing helmet with bull's horns and ears in white. Behind him, youth on horseback, both to left. One of the earliest vases signed by Nikosthenes.
