DescriptionShoulder: Two quadrigae face toward the right side. The charioteers, clad in white, mount their chariots, holding reins and goads. A draped man, probably a trainer, sits on a boxlike stool before each team.
Body: Herakles and Triton wrestle in the center of the vase. Herakles straddles the monster and grasps him around the chest. Nereus, at left, leans on a staff and observes the scene. A nereid, at right, watches, gesturing toward the struggle.
