DescriptionStatuette of woman standing. From the same mold as 01.7797, but the head is smaller, and does not look down so much. Hair gathered in a knot, low on the head behind. Base missing. Head is of different clay and does not belong, but is ancient. Pink on hair; traces of white slip. J. Herrmann comments that there is no break visible. Color change in head may be due to firing.
ProvenanceBy 1901: with E. P. Warren (according to Warren's records: Bought in Athens.); purchased by MFA from E. P. Warren, December 1901
