DescriptionProtome in the shape of a female bust with two holes at the top for suspension. A veil covers the crown (stephane) and falls over the shoulders. A lock of hair is visible on either side at the edge of the veil. Much incrusted.
ProvenanceBy 1901, sold by Athanasios Rhousopoulos (b. 1823-d. 1898), Athens, to Edward Perry Warren (b. 1860-d. 1928), London [see note]; 1901, sold by E. P. Warren to the MFA. (Accession date: December 1, 1901).
