Catalogue Raisonné Sculpture in Stone and Bronze (MFA), no. 027.
DescriptionNude hunter sits on rock next to tree trunk, hunting club in left hand, knob on ground, looks to right at dog straining upward at object man dangles over his head (rabbit?). Dog on hind legs stands on body of dead boar.
Right side of base, man's right arm, part of chin, right foot broken off. Dog's head, neck, right front leg, left front leg, tail, part of right leg missing. Oil stains on otherwise excellent surface, high polish in places; some marks of sea worms.
