DescriptionWithin a simple, deep, fillet-molding frame, a woman stands to right, wearing a long chiton with heavy folds and an ample chiton wrapped around the waist and brought up behind the left shoulder, over the left arm and by the left side. A section by the left side of the neck suggests the woman may have been veiled. She holds a jewel box or vanity-case, from which she selects a bijou. A servant girl wearing an Ionian chiton rests her left arm on a plump cushion, on a couch with an elaborately turned leg. This style is richly Attic.
Condition: Missing from the relief are the upper part with the head of the woman, raised right hand of the servant girl, and edges of the fillet molding.
