DescriptionLimestone block from a mastaba near the king's pyramid, carved in low raised relief showing part of a boating scene in the swamps. On the right, boat with the foot of the owner and lower portion of the figure of his son Nefery. Bedded in, and backed with, plaster.
ProvenanceFrom el-Lisht; 1920-1922: excavated by the Metropolitan Museum of Art; assigned to the MMA in the division of finds with the government of Egypt; 1952: lent to the MFA by the MMA; 1954: received by the MFA by exchange with the MMA, May 13, 1954.
