DescriptionLinen shroud with an Osiride representation of the deceased in the center, surmounted by a winged scarab and surrounded by funerary deities. The head is shown slightly turned and represents a lady with black hair, wearing ear drops. Her hands protrude from the mummy wrappings and hold the crook and flail. Repaired and mounted by W.J. Young, 1951/52.
ProvenanceSaid to be from Akhmim. By 1897, Frederick George Hilton Price (b. 1842 - d. 1909), London [see note]. 1950, sold by Spink and Son, London, to the MFA for £1000. (Accession Date: April 10, 1950)
