DescriptionReconstruction of a Kerma bed; frame of rosewood, foot-board of pine; inlays cast from originals 13.4219-23. Rawhide lacing. Foot panel inlaid with various images; the upper row represents eight ibexes, and the bottom row represents five hyenas. In the middle row are eight images of Taweret, who holds a knife to ward off evil. Made by Joseph Gerte, Boston, 1939-40.
