DescriptionCarnelian short cylinder (or barrel) beads from 23-m-105 were incorporated into a bead purse- modern reconstruction of original design. Bead purse is 4" wide 5" tall with bead handle; white diamond design across top (possibly faience or bone?).
Incorrectly assigned EgInv.1553.
ProvenanceFrom Nubia: Meroe (Beg.) Tomb W 609. 1923: Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
