DescriptionFound in the tomb of Aspelta, this deep vessel features a rounded base and a spout of square section. the hieroglyphic inscription incised below rim includes the cartouche of Aspelta's father, Senkamnisken.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri, pyramid 8 (tomb of Aspelta). 1918: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
