DescriptionThis amulet is of a blue glazed faience standing figure with a knife in each hand and scarab on his head, representing Pataikos. A ram's head pendant is on the chest. There is a transverse hole at back of head. The amulet is missing below the knees.
ProvenanceFrom el-Kurru, Ku. 51 (tomb of an unidentified queen of Piankhy). 1919: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
