DescriptionElectrum cylinder sheath, originally mounted on silver, now mounted on modern silver cylinders; in two parts: top part with repoussé decorations, lower part with engraved decorations including cartouches of Aspelta; fragmentary, many parts missing; bottom with rosette and floral pattern preserved. See also 21.11744.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri, Pyramid 8 (Tomb of Aspelta). 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
