DescriptionThis armlet consists of fifty-five beads: thirty-seven carnelian ring beads,eight amethyst barrel beads, five amethyst ball beads, one amethyst lenticular bead, two carnelian lenticular beads and two dark green stone lenticular beads. The beads are from the left elbow of the body and are in the original order. (See group 21.970-974; 976-985)
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Naga el-Deir, tomb N 453 b. 1904: excavated by George Reisner for the Hearst Expedition of the University of California (which became the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition in 1905).
