DescriptionThe following description reflects this object’s current condition and state of assembly, which were achieved after conservation. Photography that appears with this record may show the object prior to changes made during conservation.
This wooden boat model has three kneeling figures: two rowers and a helmsman. All three are painted a reddish-brown, wearing black wigs and white kilts. Eyes are detailed with black and white. The exterior arms of the rowers are pierced near the ends and would originally have held oars. The helmsman in the stern of the boat mans the stanchion which is attached to the rudder. The boat is plastered and painted white with red lines on the top to indicate divisions and beams of the boat's interior.
