DescriptionThis miniature jar made of gray micascious stone is a model of a type of offering jar known as a hes-vase. The base is flat and splayed, and the rim is flattened and everted. It is broken and mended. Part of the base is missing.
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Deir el-Bersha, Tomb 10, pit A. May 1915: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. (Accession Date: March 1, 1921)
