DescriptionThe mirror is made from silver, gold, and paste as follows: a) Handle in the form of a column with a bell cap, against which stand two hawk-headed and two human figures with various attributes; above the cap, a rectangular block with spaces for two cartouches, hollow, partly filled with plaster is split open near base. B) Silver disc with tang fitting into above. c) and d) Two gold and paste cartouches from the handle are inscribed Amani-natake-lebte.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri, pyramid 10 (tomb of Amaninatakelebte). 1917: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
