DescriptionThe shank of this ring is made of thin, gold wire (now misshapen). The movable bezel is a hard stone scarab (amazonite). The base of the scarab is uninscribed while the back is summarily carved with divided wing cases.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri 20, tomb of Atlanersa. February 1917: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
