This bowl is among the most inventive examples of Predynastic vase painting, combining typical motifs such as cross-hatching with a representation of an animal-topped comb similar to the ivory comb in this case.
DescriptionCross-lined bowl of brown Nile silt ware, with red burnished surface and elaborate decoration in white of gazelles, floral motifs and wicker work.
