DescriptionThis string of beads consists of a total of 169 garnet ball and barrel beads of graduated sizes. The Object Register does not cite garnet barrel beads under any of the field numbers associated with this tomb.

The beads from SF 42 have apparently been strung according to material. 13.3621 contains all the carnelian beads and amulets; 13.3622 all the hematite and black faience beads; 13.3623 all the white shell ring beads; 13.3635 all the small dark faience ring beads; 13.3680 all the miscellaneous faience beads; 13.3916 all the amythest beads and amulets; and 13.3917 all the garnet beads. These strings are all shown in HU-MFA Expedition photo A993. The field numbers from SF 42 which may include beads and amulets on these strings (among other elements listed in the Object Register for these field numbers) are as follows: 13-3-32; 13-3-59; 13-3-78; 13-3-79; 13-3-81; 13-3-112; 13-3-123; and 13-3-147.
