DescriptionBrightly painted, round-topped limestone stele dedicated to a guardsman named Seniankhu. He is shown with his wife, Iy, standing before a table of food offerings. The stele is inscribed with a text dated to year 30 of king Amenemhat III and contains an offering formula.
ProvenanceFrom Sheikh Farag, tomb SF 217. 1913: Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt. (Accession date: December 4, 1913)
