DescriptionBuddhist altar cloth (uchishiki) with design of fans, fruit, flowers and bamboo in white, yellow and black on a reddish-orange silk crepe ground, created by stencil and tie-dye techniques, and embroidered with reddish-orange and green silk and gold-wrapped thread; made from Genroku era (early 18th century) kosode fragments.
