DescriptionDrawstring bag (shifuku) for tea container (chaire) with design of gourds, bats and butterflies in gilt paper strip discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts on a light brown twill-weave silk ground (possibly 13th or 14th century, Yuan dynasty). There is a purple plain-weave silk lining and a pale green braided silk cord.
