DescriptionFinely polished white limestone head from the lid of a sarcophagus. The deceased is shown wearing a plain tripartite wig that falls behind the ears. This style of sarcophagus was popular from Dynasty 30 through the Ptolemaic Dynasty.
Provenance1912: given to the MFA by the Egyptian Antiquities Service.
