DescriptionThis fragment is the top half of the false door of Neferi. The door consists of two jambs, a lintel, central niche and panel. In the panel Neferi is seated before the table of offerings. There are two lines of incised hieroglyphs above the table enumerating the offerings of a thousand jugs of beer, a thousand loaves of bread etc. The jambs are both inscribed in sunk relief. They both begin with a peret-kherew followed by the titles and name of Neferi. Below the panel is a lintel inscribed for the the venerated one Neferi.

ProvenanceFrom Giza, found partly in front of G 2180 (=G 4990) and partly in front of G 2200 (=G 5080). 1912: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
