DescriptionMade of pale green faience, this small sculpture repersents a goose with its head tucked back. Because it is hollow and there are pieces inside, which rattle when it is shaken, it has been suggested that it is a child's rattle.
ProvenanceFrom Giza, G 2186 (= G X.5). 1912: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
