DescriptionSix-columned kesa with decoration of lotus arabesques. Columns: Satin weave indigo blue silk ground with woven-in patterns of lotuses and scrolling vines in supplementary wefts of flat gold-leafed paper thread. Rest of the kesa: Four-harness warp-faced light green silk twill ground with woven-in patterns of peonies with double-tendrilled scrolling vines in supplementary wefts of flat gold-leafed paper thread. Lining: White plain-weave silk.
