DescriptionThis false door of Iteti is comprised of two fragments, joined together, and is executed in sunk relief. The "door" was found broken diagonally across the middle, and several chips had been broken out along the line of fracture. The inscription is rather rudely cut and says "Imy-ht hnty-s pr-? Iti".
ProvenanceFrom Giza, tomb G 2004, unidentified pit in N end of corridor between G 2005 and G 2004 (reused as roofing slab). 1905-06: excavated by the Harvard University–Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
