DescriptionLimestone in the form of a semi-cylinder, on top of which are two somewhat mutilated crocodiles. These probably served as a base for a standing Horus, as in the British Museum there is an instance of this. The base is elaborately inscribed, and on one side is depicted Horshed hunting from a chariot. The fragment is a small piece shaped somewhat like a thumb.
ProvenancePossibly from the Fayoum (?). 1905: Throdore M. Davis Collection; 1905: Given by Theodore M. Davis to the MFA.
